The Holistic H.O.M.E. Pillars

“Home is sacred. Rest is reverence. Health is seasonal. Through spirit-led rhythms, rituals, and practical wisdom, The Holistic Homebody guides Black women in living well—at home and within.”

I'm Hakikah Shamsideen, and I created this space to hold what matters most to me—self-care, community, creativity, and purpose.

The Holistic Homebody is a sanctuary for Black women, especially those preparing for retirement, embracing retirement, or navigating a new life season.

This is more than a ministry; it’s a movement.

At the center of everything I teach and practice are our Core Pillars—four guiding truths that help you create a home filled with joy, love, and readiness for the life ahead. These pillars come together in our H.O.M.E. Framework:  H.O.M.E. — Heal • Order • Ministry • Ease

Heal

Welcome God’s healing into your life. Tend to emotional wounds, nurture your spirit, and create a home that restores and comforts you from the inside out.

Order

Bring godly order to your home and life. Align your space, time, and priorities with your values, remembering that “all things be done decently and in order.”

Ministry

View your home and daily life as a sacred ministry. Every meal prepared, every room tended, every act of care is holy work. “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.”

Ease

Live with grace and unhurried peace. Trust in God’s provision and let go of constant striving. Jesus assures us: “For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
